A perfect day for..

So last night Nicole asked me to help her with her dissertation which was due to be handed in today. I went to stay with her and Pierre so that I could read drafts and make little corrections. Stayed up until about 4 doing that and talking with Pierre. Woke up about 9ish and got ready to head into the uni building for the final stages. Left Nicole for a while to do her thing and went to Trans-Europe for a coffee and breakfast. Made more corrections, added references and images and all sorts of things like that. Finally got it printed, bound and handed in half an hour before the deadline. Then to Tinderbox for a quick celebratory lunch.

Went home and just had time for a quick shower and a change of clothes before heading back out to meet Kirsty for a wee birthday meal. We ended up at Oko Express where we had udon, rice, tempura and fried gyoza followed by cheesecake. After that we went to Pivo Pivo for a wee drink (double havana 7 and coke) before heading home.

Ran into Grant and Jamie at Partick station so that was cool, wee bit of company for the train and the walk home.

Overall a good night/day/night but by far the best part was Kirsty's birthday gift, probably the best and sweetest present I've ever recieved. I'll post it soon.

it’s 6am, do you know where you are?

woke up quite late today, headed into town for a while. internet wasn’t working when i left, glad it’s back up now, still needing to install stuff on this laptop though so can’t really use it other than for a few minutes at a time which is a pain. saw pierre for a bit, had coffee and chatted, drew some random things. he told me about a place that does laser cutting which is cool.

finally finished the orwell book that i’ve been half way through for ages on the train. dunno what to do tonight with hardly any computer access. probably just read a bit and worry about college stuff tomorrow.
